COMMENT:

I would love to see a Boomer’s tv channel. We have the ability to create our own entertainment and information resource. Just eliminate the young suits making the decisions in television today. They may be doing the best they can but we have the rich background in the arts and consequently the power to create our own.

COMMENT:

The only thing i have to say is if you are healthy you are never too old.

COMMENT:

We are told there are more old people living today and maybe they don’t want their stories told! There seems to be a fair mix but no doubt there is more focus on under 50’s!

COMMENT:

To the best of my memory, I see many, many actors who do character roles on tv as well as movies. These middle age actors do many dramatic character roles and often “the bad guy”. If you’re referring to dancers, I wouldn’t have an opinion.

I believe more creative choreographers should spread their creative wings and do a work for mature ladies & gentlemen. I am please to say that last year I designed, for ice, a production that featured just older skaters. Two of them were beyond 70 yrsl of age. They were absolutely delightful with a ton of charm.

COMMENT:

You’re never to old to fall in love, or to do anything else for that matter. There’s a guy over 100 still working at Pimlico Plumbers in London.

COMMENT:

WHERE HAS ALL THE ENTERTAINMENT GONE ON TV? ACTS, DANCERS, SINGERS, NOT AMATEUR X FACTORS AND THAT SORT OF THING – IT PUTS TRAINED ACTORS, DANCERS AND SINGERS OUT OF WORK AND WE SHOULD PROTEST.

WHY DON’T WE HAVE “SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE FOLLIES” ON TV, USING YOUNG AND OLDER PERFORMERS? THE ONLY VARIETY SHOW WE GET IS THE ROYAL COMMAND PERFORMANCE, AND THAT’S NOT ALL THAT GREAT. ON FRENCH TV THEY HAVE A CABARET SHOW FREQUENTLY, AND IT’S GREAT AND FUN.

KICK OUT THE CRIME AND BRING IN THE FUNTIME. GOODNESS KNOWS WE ALL NEED IT IN THIS DAY AND AGE.

COMMENT:

“Beware media moguls. Boomers will not go silently into the night.”

COMMENT:

Why is it so hard for over 50s to take ballet lessons both practical (it is the most artistic form of keeping fit)and the cultural appreciation especially males. I live in London and can not even find private lessons.

COMMENT:

No, I do not think so. With all the baby boomers coming of age, society has been forced to “keep us in the limelight”. TV commercials are featuring more 50 and up actors and many Hollywood stars did not reach their peak until they were at least over 45, i.e., Tommy Lee Jones, Helen Mirren, etc. I think we will see more representation of the older set in all mediums in the future.
